Facebook joins other companies, such as Lockheed Martin, Juniper Networks, NetApp and Google, in Sunnyvale’s Moffett Park, unveiling on Wednesday, its new space at Moffett Towers II.
This is the first move into one of three eight-story buildings totaling 1.05 million square feet that Facebook leased in Jay Paul’s Moffett Towers II development. The other two buildings are scheduled to open in 2021.
The campus, designed by DES Architects + Engineers, is certified as LEED Gold. It becomes one of Facebook’s most environmentally sustainable location. Single use of single-use water bottles or disposable food containers will not even be permitted.
The building’s interior pays homage to neighbors, Moffett Field and NASA, with a space theme and features art installations by local artists, who are part of Facebook’s Artist-in-Residence program.
Welcome to the neighborhood!
