As the new year progresses into spring two events rise on the horizon for the numerous companies in the area. Earth Day, April 22, 2013, provides an opportunity for a company to educate their employees on the sustainable behaviors practiced within their organization and in their private lives.
MPBG encourages its members to promote alternate commute options, such as public transit and carpooling, during their Earth Day events. Companies also have a great opportunity to promote bicycling during the month of May for Bike to Work month. Team challenges, Energizer stations, and great camaraderie encourage many employees to try biking as a ways to get to work. MPBG participates with Energizer stations throughout the Moffett Park and support of local bike events. So put these dates on your calendar of events and look for the MPBG at these events.
